In our battle, it seemed the sea-maid controlled other sea creatures through song. This may imply her origins lie in a culture which held music in high regard. Even if we did not share a common tongue, a melody might convey our feelings properly. However, I fear neither my bodyguard nor I can sing loud enough to be heard from under the water's surface.
